The American Shi'a Muslim (ASM) Survey was an endeavor launched in the fall of 2004 by The Qunoot Foundation's directors before the organization's inception.  The purpose of the survey was to research the demographics, political leanings, and intra-faith dynamics of the American Shi'a Muslim community.

With the invaluable assistance and dedication of our research associates and community volunteers, data was collected from respondents in over 35 states and from every age bracket.  The compilation of this data is complete and survey results were released at our fall 2005 conference in Washington, DC.
